What Does AI Blended Coffee Tastes Like?

A Finnish coffee roaster has launched a blend developed by artificial intelligence (AI) and hopes to bring new possibilities to the traditionally manual coffee industry through AI technology, the Associated Press reported on 21 local time.

 

On April 19, 2024, a Finnish coffee roaster showcased "AI-conic," a blend of coffee developed by artificial intelligence (AI).

 

The coffee, called "AI-conic," is described as a blend of four different coffee beans. The roaster worked with an AI consulting company to select the beans for blending using an AI model similar to ChatGPT.

 

In addition, the AI created the coffee package labels and detailed flavor descriptions, describing "AI-conic" as "a good blend of sweetness and ripe fruit."

 

Hempf, the roastery's founder, said the AI's mission is to create blends that suit the tastes of coffee lovers and push the boundaries of traditional flavor combinations.

 

After the first test roasting and blind testing, the plant's coffee experts agreed that the blend developed with the help of the technology was "perfect" and "did not need to be tweaked," the AP said.
